Britain's Got Talent: Results 1- Susan Boyle crashes through to the Final!

Susan Boyle, the Scottish singing sensation, secured her place in the 2009 Final of Britain's Got Talent with an amazing rendition of the popular song, "Memory". She started off a little shakily showing her apparent nervousness, but went well into it as the song progressed and soared above all the other contestants at the end. She got the highest number of votes from the public.

When asked how she felt about the win by hosts, Ant and Dec, she wiggled her hips in reply saying she was very thrilled. Then she ooked at Piers Morgan and told him that one wiggle was especially for him! It seems that this is a truly international singer who has broken all borders. The first five congratulatory messages on the BGT website came from Puerto Rico, Italy, Poland, South Africa and her native Scotland.

The other two acts with the most public votes had to battle it out with the judges. Little Natalie Okri, who gave a sterling performance went head to head with Diversity, a stunning dance group who were on top form, even bettering their audition performance. The judges were divided on who should go through but Simon's vote clinched it for the dancers and they joined Susan in the Final on May 30th, 2009.

It was an excellent semi-final with some stunning performers. The bar has certainly been set very high for the other semi-finalists to follow. This week should be quite a treat of new talent! My other tip for the final, Sue Son, did not get through but Diversity was certainly better on the night.

PLEASE NOTE: You can watch the first semi-final video here. Diversity performs first in the order and Susan Boyle last.
